"Beyond the Chief" Installation Project

Media
- Create virtual tour of WRC for WRC website
- Film poets during poetry open mic nights and post them on WRC Writ 'n Rhymed youtube channel
- Take photos at events
- Create a photo-board in WRC with pictures from events and invite students to add drawings, pictures, comments etc
- Upload all WRC pictures to facebook page
- Encourage Buzz/217/local newspapers to cover our events and services
- Invite local news to cover Take Back the Night and other rallies/special events
Advertising
- Put up fliers for programs around campus ( remember to ask for permission)
- Design fliers or graphics for up coming events (be experimental!)
- Devise new advertising techniques
- Upload all calendar events to the WRC calendar, the WRC lounge calendar, the Buzz/217, Facebook, the Daily Divulgences blog and Twitter
- Re-draw the sandwich sign before each program and place it outside
Clothesline Expansion Project
- Set up t-shirt making workshops with local organizations like Rape Crisis Services, Center for Women in Transition, Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club of America, Crisis Nursery, cultural houses, IMC, C-U public libraries, RSOs, Orachard Downs Graduate Housing, Safe Haven, Quad..etc.
- Seek out donations of t-shirts and fabric paint
Library Database Project
- Put all library book information into the WRC library excel spreadsheet
- Categorize books for each section in the library- devise with Rachel
- Order WRC address stamp for stamping the inside cover of each book (Rachel and Bethany will order this for you)
- Stamp each book with address stamp
- Get VHS tapes converted to DVDs & donate others we aren't interested in keeping (work with Pat on this)
- Create labels for each book binding that read the category it belongs to as determined in a meeting with Rachel & others working on this project
- Find new books, magazines, documentary films, and zines for the library
- Encourage students to make and submit their own zines (self-published works) to our library
Orchard Downs Women's Social Hour Project
- Purchase/find additional children's toys and locate children's educational films for kids to watch together. (preferred: old school Sesame Street, PBS, Nature, Dora, Interactive, etc)
- Devise ways to "childproof" the WRC, including fence to separate "office-side" from "programs-side" and cover outlets, etc
- Obtain blankets and other comfy things to lay on the floor for kiddos
- Think of new ways to outreach
